Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished professor of psychology since 1993 and director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for initiating the contemporary science-based study of children's witness memory as well as child victims as witnesses in lawful contexts. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer who has received numerous prizes and grants. She has advised many administrations and agencies across the world about policies and studies pertaining to the treatment of children victims in the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of numerous professional associations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
